Brochure (30 points)

This project is a mix between a newspaper article and the flyer. You will be incorporating columns as well as pictures to create a brochure enticing people to your event, product, or service. This is a two page project that will incorporate small graphics and numbered and bulleted text. To get started do the following steps:

Steps before getting started: (Why do this step?)

  1. Before working on the computer and using a sheet of scratch paper, you need to determine how you want your brochure to look. Think about the brochures you see from juice bars, from camps and travel agents and think about how you will develop your brochure.
  2. Take a sheet of scratch paper and fold it in thirds with its' longer side horizontal for a three fold brochure. To get full credit for the project the Brochure must open like a book.
  3. On the scratch paper in each of the sections draw and write where you will place pictures and where you will place text.

Open Microsoft Word

  1. Go to File Open
  2. Go to Dileo's Drafts in the Shared Folder.
  3. Open the file Blank Brochure.
  4. Make your changes to the template being sure that you keep everything on the two pages that were given.

What you should do next:

  1. By looking at your rough draft paper, you should be able to determine which of the sections is your cover page.
  2. Place pictures and text that would best give a short description of your product or service on the cover. Make it interesting!
  3. Inside the brochure you need to list details about your product or service. This is what will help a person choose what you are presenting.
  4. Feel free to add as many graphics as necessary to help sell your product or service.
  5. You can add the pictures from the Internet.
  6. Provide enough information so that all pages of the brochure have something on them.
