Children's Story (30 points)

For this project you need to create a fairytale that can be shared with young children. This is in preparation for a future project. The material for this project must be geared towards children in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. The information that will go into this project is as follows:

Use Microsoft Word:

Follow these Guidelines, OR ELSE!! (click here)

Place your name and period in the upper left of the paper. Use 12 point type, New York Font (2 Points)

Title your paper using 24 point type, ANY FONT STYLE, NO WORD ART!! (2 Points)

The body of your story needs to be 12 point, plain text, single spaced, left justified, Helvetica Font ONLY!! (4 Points)

It must be an original work or classic fairytale with a unique twist. (ie: The water squirting dragon, Cinderella's sister's story, Goldielocks and the 3 wise dwarfs,…) Story Example (4 Points)

This paper needs to be two full pages and must have more than one paragraph. Spelling and punctuation count. For tips on how to make your story a good one, click here! DO NOT EXCEED 2 PAGES (See note at bottom of page) (8 Points)

Create with a mouse in Appleworks Paint, three original pictures for your story on one sheet of paper. Include your name on the picture in small text. See example.(click here) (10 Points)

Remember this story is for second, third, and fourth graders.  Keep your subject matter appropriate or you will have to redo your project.

Special Note: I am very critical of spelling and punctuation mistakes. Take advantage of the Spell Check available in Microsoft Word. Remember, these stories will be shared over the internet.  We would like the rest of the world to know that students at Lincoln can spell words correctly.
