Current Event (20 Points)

For this project you need to write an article like a newspaper reporter. You are going to report on an event, lifestyle, or situation, that happens here at Lincoln. You have the option of writing the paper in columns like a newspaper or magazine article, or in full-page format. You need to pay close attention to the required guidelines for the project regarding font choice and spacing. The guidelines for the project are as follows:

This project must be done in Microsoft Word word processing.

1		The article must be about an event, situation, or lifestyle, at Lincoln Middle School that you think is interesting (4 Points)
2		Type a title for your article in a font you think fits it. The font size must be a minimum of 18 point type and a maximum of 36 point type with a maximum of six words. NO WORD ART!!(2 Points)
3		Type your name and period underneath your title in Helvetica font in 9 point type.(2 Points)
4		Write the article in 10, 11, or 12 point New York font, Single spaced, plain text. No spaces between paragraphs! Use this format! Click Here NOW!! The article should take up the whole page! Spell Checked and Grammar Checked!! (8 Points)
5		Insert TWO (2) pictures in your article at key points. These pictures shall be no taller than 10 lines of type and no wider than half of a column or 1/4 of the page. (If there is any question about the size of the picture ask!) The pictures must be text wrapped! (4 Points)

Remember to proofread your work and also share it with a neighbor to see if they can find any mistakes.
